Rain in Delhi to bring respite from heat

Moist winds coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will be reaching up to the national capital, raising hopes of rain in Delhi in the next 24 hours. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan is expected to move closer to Delhi and increase the chances of thunderstorms and rain in some parts of the national capital. The rain spell could also extend till Thursday morning.

Delhi recorded 34.5°C as the maximum temperature on Monday. It is expected to rise on Tuesday and settle around 35°C due to partly cloudy to cloudy weather and thunderstorms. An extended forecast by Skymet Meteorology Division in India indicates the day temperatures to remain below or near normal till Weekend.

Meanwhile, morning temperature in Delhi dropped further on Tuesday to record 20.5°C. The latest weather update indicates that temperatures will rise during the next two days due to partly cloudy to cloudy sky. Last Sunday, Delhi recorded 24°C as the minimum temperature, highest till now.
