Parts of United States to get relief from oppressive heat

July 28, 2016 5:32 PM |

United States WeatherSeveral stretches of the United States have been battling intense heat conditions accompanied with high humidity levels for the past few days.

The heat has been wreaking havoc in quite a number of areas including Midwest, East and Northeast US. However, the western parts of the country will continue to witness extremely hot weather conditions.

However, residents will have to bear with the heat for just about one more day. Central parts of the country are already enjoying better weather conditions and eastern parts are likely to experience some relief by Friday.

Record highs have been observed on Monday with both Baltimore and Washington DC recording 100 degree Fahrenheit. Since July 2012, such hot weather conditions have not been observed over the region. By Thursday, temperatures are likely to settle in the 90s. Both New York City as well as Philadelphia may witness maximums in the high 90s. Conditions may improve thereafter.

Boston had also been witnessing hot days with a six day record of 90 degree temperature. However, the streak came to an end on Wednesday when southeasterly winds from the Atlantic Ocean brought in some relief.

Friday is expected to bring in some relief from the prevailing weather conditions. Temperatures will get close to average levels by the weekend. Due to a cold front, better weather conditions are in sight for Midwest later this week.
