The core Monsoon months have come to an end. The overall rainfall deficiency at present stands at 12%.
 
The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir will bring scattered rains over the hills of North India.
 
The western end of the Monsoon trough will run closer to the foothills of the Himalayas. The plains of North India will remain mostly dry. This could lead to rise in temperatures.
 
Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Northeast India for the last couple of days. The cyclonic circulation over here will continue to bring torrential rains over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Good showers likely in other parts of Northeast India.
 
The trough extending from this system will run across West Bengal, Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh. Good showers likely along the trough line.
 
Southwest Monsoon will remain subdued over entire Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, West Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka.
 
Rest of the country will receive only light rainfall.
