Weather Forecast for Feb 23: Temperatures to drop in North and Central India

February 22, 2017 6:06 PM |

The affecting Western Disturbance is gradually moving away from Jammu and Kashmir, however, remnants of the system will continue to give isolated rain and snow over some parts of the state. Meanwhile rest of the hilly region will witness dry weather conditions with bright sunshine.

Cold northwesterly winds will also start blowing across the northwestern plains, which will result in further drop in both the maximum and minimum temperatures over the region including Delhi-NCR and adjoining areas of Central India.

These winds are also reaching up to East India, with which we can also expect drop in mercury over Bihar, Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile in East India, a trough can be seen extending from Assam up to Bangladesh. This will give moderate rains overs Arunachal Pradesh and light rains over rest of the region.

Another trough is seen running from Konkan region up to Kerala, which may give isolated showers over Kerala. However, minimum temperatures will increase across Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore.
