February 23, 2017 6:50 PM |

Isolated light rains are likely to continue over Jammu and Kashmir. However, plains of Northwest India will continue to witness dry and sunny weather. With this, both the maximum and minimum temperatures will rise marginally across the region, while East India will continue with decreasing trend of the temperatures.

Meanwhile, we do not expect any major changes in the weather conditions over Central India that have been witnessing warm days.

Wind pattern will once again change its course along the West Coast, wherein warm and humid northeasterly winds will be blowing over the region. This will lead to significant increase in the temperatures over Gujarat And Konkan & Goa region. Mumbai will once again witness hot and humid weather, with temperatures settling in high 30s.

Similarly, South India will also continue with hot weather conditions. Day temperatures will continue to be above normal by 4-5 degrees over Bangalore, while Chennai will settle near normal temperatures in early 30s.

Meanwhile, Northeast India is the only pocket to record good rains at the moment. However, rains will also reduce significantly over the region now, but East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya will continue with scattered showers for the next 24 hours.
