February 24, 2017 4:10 PM |

Moderate to strong northwesterly winds will continue over northwestern plains for next 24 hours. Thereafter, the wind speed will reduce significantly over the region. With this, we do not expect much change in both maximum and minimum temperatures over the plains of Northwest India including Delhi-NCR and adjoining central parts of the country during next 24 hours. Thereafter, gradual rise in temperatures are expected.

Weather over entire east and central parts of the country will remain dry. Parts of Bihar, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal have registered a drop in both day and night temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees in last 24 hours. However, now we do not expect any major change in temperatures.

Coming to Northeast India, a trough is extending from sub-Himalayan West Bengal up to North Coastal Odisha. With this, isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over Assam and Meghalaya.

Down South, a trough is extending from Lakshadweep Islands up to North Interior Karnataka. With this, both day and night temperatures may rise marginally over Karnataka and Konkan and Goa including Mumbai. Meanwhile, the weather will remain dry over South Peninsula.
