Weather Forecast for Jan 22: Rain and snow in Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Rain in TN, Kerala

The Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir. With this, light to moderate rain and snow will continue Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Its induced cyclonic circulation is seen over Central Pakistan and adjoining Punjab, that will cause clouding across the northwestern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi NCR and West Uttar Pradesh. In wake of this, minimum temperatures are likely to rise by 2-3 degrees across the plains. Isolated light rain is also a possibility over foothills of Punjab during the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Central India will continue to witness dry and clear weather with bright sunshine on account of the anti-cyclone over the region. East India will also have dry weather conditions with chances of shallow fog.

Down South, the trough of low is extending across Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean. With this, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over South coastal Tamil Nadu and nearby areas of Kerala.

Andaman and Nicobar will also continue with light to moderate showers.
