Weather Forecast for July 29: Monsoon rain in Delhi, Chennai, MP, UP, Rajasthan

July 28, 2016 6:14 PM |

The two cyclonic circulations over Central India along the Monsoon trough continue to drive the Monsoon activity in the country. In wake of this, entire country will witness rains of varying intensity barring parts of West Rajasthan.

The first cyclonic circulation is seen over North Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, the western end of the Monsoon trough is also running through this system in close proximity of Delhi, while the eastern end of the trough is extending up to Northeast India across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

We can also see a fresh Western Disturbance approaching northern hills and presently seen over North Pakistan and adjoining areas.

Now with the interaction between all these systems, moderate showers with isolated good spell may occur over plains of East Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, North Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh.

Hills of North India will also continue with some rains but intensity will be more over Uttarakhand.

East Uttar Pradesh` and Bihar will also carry on with light to moderate rains on Friday, while mainly moderate rains will be observed over Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. Isolated heavy spells also cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, another trough is running southwards from this system up to Tamil Nadu with the cyclonic circulation system embedded over it. The circulation is marked over Marathwada and adjoining areas, while the trough is running across the interiors of Peninsular India.

Accordingly, we can expect intense rains all along the well-marked trough line.

Also, most of Central and Peninsular India, including parts of Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu including Chennai will receive light to moderate rains on Friday.

Places along the West Coast and East Coast will also continue with light to moderate Monsoon showers.
