Weather Forecast for March 26: Heatwave in MP, Maharashtra, AP, Telangana, Mercury to rise in North India

March 25, 2017 7:05 PM |

Beginning from North India, the affecting Western Disturbance has moved away and clear weather conditions are now prevailing over entire region. This has paved for hot northwesterly winds which are now reaching up to northwestern plains including Delhi-NCR and Central India. As a result, both day and night temperatures are likely to increase gradually over the region including Delhi-NCR.

As predicted, heatwave conditions have gripped isolated parts of North Madhya Pradesh, with mercury settling beyond 40 degrees over the region. Very soon, heatwave will extend and cover more parts of West Madhya Pradesh, along with some areas of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha as day maximum will continue to increase.

Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a trough is extending this system up to North Kerala across Odisha, Telangana and Interior Karnataka. But the trough will not be capable of giving any weather over the respective areas as well as over South India that will continue with warm and hot weather conditions.

However up in Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation will increase the moisture over the region leading to increase in pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers.
