Weather Forecast for March 27: Heatwave conditions to persist over MP, Maharashtra, AP, Telangana

To start with North India, a fresh Western Disturbance is seen over North Pakistan, which will give light rain and thundershowers over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. It would not have much impact over northwestern plains. As a result, both day and night temperatures are likely to increase gradually over the region including Delhi-NCR.

Meanwhile, a trough is extending from East Bihar up to Odisha. Another trough is extending from Coastal Karnataka up to Telangana. These weather features will not result in any rain. Warm northeasterly winds from the Bay of Bengal have been resulting in hot weather. Heatwave conditions will extend and cover parts of Gujarat, West Rajasthan, South Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Chhattisgarh and West Odisha.

Rest of South India South will remain under the grip of hot and humid weather, but light rain may continue over southern parts of Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Moving onto East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Bihar and adjoining Assam. This system will give light rain and thundershowers over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and scattered places of northeastern states. Also, isolated parts of East Bihar and Northeast Jharkhand would record some rain activity.

Now let us have a look at the temperatures across major cities of India.

Delhi will witness a day maximum of around 36 degrees, while Lucknow will see maximum temperature of 38 degrees. Kolkata could also record a day temperature of 35 degrees.

Ahmedabad will be quite hot with maximum temperatures around 40 degrees, while Mumbai and Bengaluru will settle with 36 degrees.
