May 5, 2016 4:09 PM |

The Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation have cleared away from North Indian region.

However, remnants of the system will continue give isolated rain over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Friday. While, plains will have clear weather.

In East India, the cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh has also become insignificant and thus rain activity will reduce over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

However, circulation over Assam and Meghalaya will get more marked. And as reiterated by Skymet Weather, pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers will once again pick up pace over the region.

A trough can be seen extending from this system up to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha, which may give isolated light showers over Odisha, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh on Friday.

Down south, wind discontinuity is seen from Marathwada region up to Comorin area across Telangana, Interior Karnataka and Interior Tamil Nadu.

Accordingly, scattered rain and thundershowers are likely over Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, and interior Karnataka including Bangalore on Friday.

While Interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala will have isolated light rain only.

In wake of these rains, temperatures across the country are settling near normal with no heatwave warning.
