February 25, 2017 4:12 PM |

bangalore weatherWith the mercury soaring high with every passing day, the ‘pleasant city’ Bangalore is not pleasant anymore. For the last three consecutive days, temperatures are settling beyond 35-degree mark.

In fact, on Friday, the garden city recorded day maximum at 35.5°C that was three degrees above the normal average. This is for the second time in span of last 10 years, when city has clocked this temperature.

Days have become uncomfortably hot. Nights are no different and have been warm too, with the minimum temperatures hovering around 19°C.

Further, we do not expect any respite from the warm weather at least for the next 24-48 hours. According to Skymet Weather, uninterrupted flow of warm inland winds for last many days have resulted in these ongoing warm weather conditions.

After the next 24 hours, wind pattern is expected to change, wherein these warm winds will be replaced by relatively cooler easterly winds.  Due to this, mercury will start dropping. Night temperatures will be near normal again but drop being the marginal one, day maximums will continue to be marginally above normal.

Bangalore is famous for pleasant weather conditions throughout the year. However, during the last few years, it is seen that temperatures have been settling on the higher side. This has put the ‘pleasant city’ title in danger.
