Fog-Free Morning In Most Parts Of The Country

Fog In IndiaMost parts of the country woke up to little or no fog on Friday morning. The national capital region too remained fog-free with Palam observatory recording visibility at 500 meters. Other areas in Delhi such as Model Town, Lajpat Nagar, Noida Fortis, Indirapuram, and Dwarka too remained fog-free.

Amritsar too remained fog-free and reported visibility at 1500 meters. Visibility in Gaya was reported at 1200 meters whereas visibility In Varanasi was reported at 1800 meters. The city of Lucknow observed a visibility of 800 meters whereas Patna in Bihar recorded visibility at 1000 meters. Meanwhile, Hyderabad and Jabalpur reported dense fog with visibility in both the cities dropping to 100 meters. Kolkata with visibility at 1600 meters and Ranchi with visibility at 1700 meters too remained fog-free.

Air traffic experienced minor delays in the form of three flights delayed in departures and two delayed in arrivals. No flight was cancelled in arrivals or departures.

Rail traffic too faced delays with 52 trains running behind schedule. Some of these trains include: North-East Express (Anand Vihar-Guwahati) delayed by 5 hours, Sampark Kranti Express (Old Delhi-Sealdah) delayed by 11 hours, Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express (New Delhi-Guwahati) delayed by 12 hours, Brahmaputra Mail (Old Delhi-Dibrugarh) delayed by 9 hours, Puri Purushottam Express (New Delhi-Puri) delayed by 10 hours, and Nandankanan Express (New Delhi to Puri) delayed by 5 hours.
