Southwest Monsoon has so far remained active over Madhya Pradesh, giving heavy to very heavy rain over the state. Due to on and off rain, the state has also witnessed pleasant weather with temperatures under check during the Monsoon season so far.
Monsoon rains have once again blessed the central state of India with good rains as the entire state witnessed good rainfall in last 24 hours. Intense to light rainfall has been observed particularly over the Bundelkhand area where good showers were witnessed.
In fact, Khandwa recorded three-digit rainfall in a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday.

The reason of Monsoon rains covering almost the entire state of Madhya Pradesh can be associated with a cyclonic circulation over East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra. This circulation is likely to move towards the northwest direction over Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan region but will remain in close proximity to this region.
The interaction of this cyclonic circulation with the Western Disturbance that is currently passing through North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir region is further likely to give scattered showers for another 2-3 days.
