The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas is now clearing away.

A low level cyclonic circulation can also be seen over Lakshadweep region and adjoining areas.

Another cyclonic circulation is over Tripura and its adjoining region.

An anti-cyclonic circulation is prevailing over South Rajasthan.

Weather activity in various parts of the country

Scattered light to moderate rain was observed over Lakshadweep IslandsKerala and Tamil Nadu during last 24 hours. While, isolated light showers were recorded over KarnatakaJammu and Kashmir, Gangetic West Bengal and northeastern states.

In span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Monday, Aminidivi recorded 15 mm of rainfall, Minicoy 2 mm, Kottayam 32.8 mm, Thiruvananthapuram 11 mm, Kanyakumari 11.1 mm, Palayamkottai 5 mm, Coonoor 3.8 mm, Mangalore 5 mm, Diamond Harbour 17.6 mm, Banihal 1.8 mm and Kokernag 0.6 mm.

Forecast for next 24 hours

According to Skymet, scattered light to moderate rain is expected over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal during next 24 hours.

Rest of the country including entire North, West and Central India will witness mainly dry weather conditions on Thursday.
