According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, day temperatures are settling in mid 30s over the region, making afternoon quite hot.

RSP, which is owned by state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), has built this modernisation project with an expenditure of around Rs 12,000 crore. The new project has a capacity of 4.5 million tonnes per annum, an increase from 2 mtpa earlier.

Reportedly, Narendra Modi may also announce Rs 36,000-crore capacity expansion plan for Rourkela steel plant during the inauguration of the modernized unit.
