Rain approaching Bangalore, pleasant weather in offing

February 28, 2017 2:06 PM |

Rain in BangaloreAfter reeling under scorching weather last week, Bangalore is gearing up for pleasant weather conditions. All thanks to the couple of weather systems developing around the garden city.

According to Skymet Weather, two troughs have formed around South India. While, one trough can be seen extending from Lakshadweep region to North Interior Karnataka, the other trough is extending over equator to South Tamil Nadu. Both the troughs will be moving in northeast and north direction, respectively.

As a result, weather conditions will become conducive for a good spell of rain and thundershowers, commencing from March 3. The intensity of the rain activity will be confined to light to moderate.

In wake of these approaching systems, the weather over the state capital has already become comfortable. Both the day and night temperatures are settling near normal.

On Monday, day maximum over the city settled at 33°C, while minimum temperatures settled at 19°C. each of them was degree above normal.

Further, as the systems will now start nearing the region, temperatures will start dropping that would pave way for pleasant weather conditions.

Rains have remained far and few over Bangalore for the last few days. In fact, February ended on a dry note. January, too, did not record any significant amount of rains.

Due to this, weather had become hot and mercury had even clocked 35.5°C that was highest in the last 10 years.
