July 26, 2016 7:45 AM |

Rain in BhopalHeavy Monsoon rains have lashed several parts of Telangana once again. Moreover, we expect more such rains to continue over the region for the next 24 hours.

Ramagundam has recorded 68 mm of rain in span of 21 hours from 8:30 am on Monday. Hyderabad has also received light rainfall.

According to Skymet Weather, the two cyclonic circulations over central parts of to country continue to drive the rain activity across India. One circulation is marked over Marathwada and adjoining areas, while the other one is marked over West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan.

Both the system have been interacting with each other, giving moderate to heavy Monsoon rains over several parts of Central India along with Telangana.

Weathermen predict that systems are likely to retain their strength and thus, rains of varying intensity will continue over several parts of Telangana for at least next two days.

As per the meteorologists, whenever two weather systems persist in close proximity, they tend to move at a very slow pace. Due to this, both the systems tend to affect the weather over the respective regions for a longer period.

Telangana has been witnessing surplus Monsoon rains, so far. As on July 25, the cumulative rainfall surplus for Telangana stands at 14%.
