Warm weather in Delhi as temperatures all set to rise

February 23, 2017 2:28 PM |

Delhi weatherIt seems that summers are likely to arrive over Delhi-NCR early this season. Day maximums are already settling several notches above normal and are now all set to increase further.

According to Skymet Weather, both the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to rise marginally by 1-2 degrees in span of next 2-3 days. Thereafter, these temperatures are likely to increase further by the next week.

On Wednesday, the national capital recorded day temperature at 27.5°C, which was above normal by three degrees. Meanwhile, night temperature settled near normal at 11°C.

The expected rise in the temperature can be once again attributed to the fresh Western Disturbance, which has once more interrupted the flow of cold northwesterly winds that blow straight from snow-clad Himalayas.

With this, we can now expect day temperatures to hover around 28°C or 29°C during the coming days. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures will rise marginally by a degree or two.

By the next week, the mercury will witness a further rise and maximum temperature may cross 30-degree mark once again.
With this, nights will be cool and comfortable but days will be warm. Afternoon may become slightly hotter, giving a feel of summer-like conditions.
