Weather Activity in last 24 hours
During the last 24 hours, scattered light to moderate rain and snow has occurred over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Moderate to heavy rainfall was observed over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Dense fog has been observed at some places of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Cold day conditions were seen as mercury settled below 16°C over Punjab, Haryana, Northwest Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR.
Minimum temperatures remained below normal over Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Weather Forecast for next 24 hours
Light rain and snow are likely over parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Few places may see moderate snowfall as well.
Moderate to heavy rains are expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Partly cloudy sky with isolated thunderstorm may occur over Southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Weather over rest of the country will remain dry.
Minimum temperatures may drop marginally by 1-2 degrees over Northwest Plains and adjoining parts of Central India. Meanwhile, East India is likely to witness rise in minimums.
Cold day conditions will abate with the marginal rise in day maximums across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
Moderate to dense fog can be expected over Indo-Gangetic plains including Delhi-NCR.
