Delhi Weather: Sunny mornings, hot days ahead for another 5 days

July 1, 2015 1:30 PM |

ibtimesAccording to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, weather in Delhi is expected to get hotter and temperatures are likely to settle in higher 30s till 5th July. So in next couple of days, if you are in Delhi, you are most likely to pick up an umbrella but to obtain shade against the blistering sun or opt for baggy or loose cotton clothes allowing the adequate air circulation.

Due to the absence of any Monsoon system or weather system around or over Delhi, weather in the national capital city is most likely to be hot and humid in the upcoming days of July.

As the dry and hot northwesterly winds take over the moist southwesterly winds, humidity along with hot weather is expected to persist in Delhi till the upcoming weekend. However, since it’s the Monsoon season, light scattered rain in Delhi cannot be ruled out. Though this light or patchy rain will not bring any significant relief from the hot weather in Delhi.

Residents are also expected to face the brunt of sweltering heat and power cuts especially during the afternoons. Prolonged power cuts may also impact Capital’s water supply.

After the brutal June and just-in time arrival of Monsoon in Delhi, Delhiites were looking forward to cloudy days coupled with moderate to heavy rains. Though according to Skymet, heavy rainy days in Delhi can only be witnessed early next week including other parts of North India.
