Monsoon has picked up in last 10 days, bringing down national rain deficit to 27%. Rain has reduced over Central India but likely to pick up in the North.

From the satellite image, we can see Monsoon clouds hovering across most parts of the country and remain thick along the west coast, south east Rajasthan and north Madhya Pradesh.

The system over Central India, traveling up to Gujarat and Rajasthan has weakened but rain will continue over parts of Gujarat, adjoining Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The west coast, particularly Mumbai and Goa will also receive heavy showers. Delhi, Punjab and Haryana could receive only light rain tomorrow.

Temperatures in North, East and Northeast India:
Rain always brings cool and breezy weather with it. Maximums in North India will come down to 34 degrees. Temperatures in East and Northeast India, has been stagnant between 31 and 36 degree.
Nights remain comfortable with minimums in mid-twenties across North, East and Northeast India.
In Delhi maximum and minimum will be at 34°C and 27°C.
In Kolkata max and min will be 33°C and 26°C.

Central India:
Maximums had come down way below normal in Central India but as rain has subsided temperatures will rise and settle in low-thirties now. Nagpur will still be comfortable with maximum at 31 degrees.
In entire Central India, night temperatures will settle in lower twenties.

In Bhopal Maximum will be 28 while minimum temperature will be 24°C.
In Bhubaneswar max and min will be 34 and 25°C.

South India:
Good showers continue along the west coast keeping maximums in Mumbai, Goa and Kochi around 30 degrees. Hyderabad will also be cool at 30 degrees but Chennai will be hot and humid at 37 degrees.
Entire South India will enjoy cool nights with minimums in mid-twenties.
In Mumbai maximum and minimum will be 31°C and 27°C respectively.
max and min in Bangalore will be 28°C and 20°C.
