Heavy rain affected the paddy crop at harvesting stage in parts of AP, Odisha, WB, Jharkhand and Bihar. Excess water at harvesting stage may be damaging. In north India crop has reached a stage of grain formation and prevailing weather is positive. In south and east India paddy has reached panicle initiation to grain formation. Current weather is more or less supportive.
