Chilly air to lash Britain this week

UK chilly weather

The days of sunshine for the U.K. seems to get over and Brits have to get prepared to dig out their winter coats now as freezing Icelandic winds are expected to explode in the country from the north.

This will bring a major transformation in the temperatures of the country from next week. The temperatures are likely to curtail down to maximums being settling at just 50°F (10°C).

After witnessing pleasant and sunny weather for weeks, the country is all set to enter into a cold phase from month end. Starting November, the Brits will see falling temperatures.

As per the weatherman, the weather is expected to become chilly and by Tuesday, the southern region of the country will witness freezing temperatures of 62.6°F (17°C). While the cities in the North will observe marginally shoddier temperatures settling at 57.2°F (14°C).

Although Tuesday, mercury is again likely to settle at around 7°C (44.6°F). The MET Department claims that the weather will turn drastically upside down beginning from Monday night until Tuesday.

The reason for this chilly and icy weather can be well attributed to a high pressure from the Atlantic which will squeeze out the high pressure. Moreover, the dominant Northwest high pressure will also bring in chiller air from further north.

The changing and trembling weather could set the mercury in London along with the South East and some other places across the south on Monday to 17°C. Ideally, this time, the maximums are usually around 11-12°C so it is still way better than the current weather condition.

Temperatures may settle around 12-13°C on Tuesday but will be 5°C cooler in the southern central areas than Monday. However, temperatures will fall down further overnight. From 50°F (10°C) to only 41°F (5°C).
