Rain, snow over Sindh, Karachi, Balochistan with hailstorm in offing

At present, a fresh Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan. A trough is also extending across Central Pakistan to South Sindh.

As per Skymet Weather, moisture feed is coming from the Arabian Sea and from the induced Cyclonic Circulation. Hence, because of these weather systems, in coming 24 hours, light to moderate rain and thundershower activities are a possibility over many parts of Sindh and Punjab Province of Pakistan.

Not only this, it has been forecasted that heavy rain and snow might lash parts of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) and its adjoining hilly regions. Although, rains would reduce from South Punjab and Sindh, but rain and snowfall would continue over Northwest Frontier Province and North Punjab until tomorrow, i.e. January 31.

Rain and snow would start receding over POK from the night of January 31. Chances of Avalanches is a probability over the hills. Possibility of hailstorm and lightning strikes are over the province of Punjab cannot be ruled out. Karachi too would witness one or two wet spells today night and tomorrow morning.

Next spell of rain and snow would be in and around February 5 when a new Western Disturbance would approach Pakistan.
