Christmas is just a few weeks away and Britain is forecasted for killer and chiller cold snap. Though few sunny spells are also foreseen for the UK before Christmas.

As per the forecasters, winters have already knocked doors in the UK and temperatures are expected to set to plunge to -8°C in the south.

Throughout the rest of the week, cold snap is expected to bring an above average colder December across England and Wales. In fact, by the mid next month, conditions for a low pressure are expected to sweep across the nation making the conditions more unsettled there.

Though the Met Department assured that the weather will not remain mainly gloomy, some period of sunshine is also foreseen just in time for Christmas. The second half of the month is likely to observe some calm weather.

Not much snow or rain is forecasted but some crisp sunshine might make its way leading to a warmer and pleasant weather rather than the weather being chilly or frosty. The reason for this change in weather behavior is mainly attributed to the return of the high pressure.

Most of the Brits may enjoy this season as this year the weather will be unlike the last few Decembers which were stormy. This freezing weather mainly is the result of the previous day’s plunging mercury level to -8°C, making it the coldest night of the year so far.

The health Department, UK has even advised the elderly people to stay extra cautious against the frosty weather. Though the first part of the month seem to be colder than average but moving in the later part of the month, the weather is again expected to restore to the seasonal average.
