The weather system over Central India which have been giving heavy to very heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and adjoining areas have now become less marked.
The system is presently lying as a low pressure area over North Madhya Pradesh and South Uttar Pradesh and is likely to move more eastwards and merge with the Monsoon trough any time soon.
However, the system will continue to give scattered light to moderate rain.
Up in the hills, a Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir region and is likely to give scattered rain over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Monsoon trough is extending from North Punjab up to the foothills of Northeast India across Delhi and centre of the low pressure area.
All the systems combined together, will give light to moderate showers all along the Indo-Gangetic plains such as Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
However major activity will be confined to foothills of Himalayas.
Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim region are expected to witness heavy to very heavy showers on Friday.
Similarly, Northeastern states will also see increase in intensity of rain.
Moving down south, active off-shore trough along the West Coast will continue to give scattered good showers over Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka.
While on the eastern coast, another trough can be seen extending from Coastal Andhra Pradesh up to Tamil Nadu across Telangana. We can expect Monsoon activity all along the well-marked trough line.
Rest parts of the country will continue to witness light rain.
