August 12, 2015 5:06 PM |

The country wide rainfall deficiency stands at 9%. And this figure is expected to remain stagnant for the next couple of days.

A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching the hills of North India. Tomorrow, we can expect only scattered rains over all the three hilly states. But, Uttarakhand could receive more showers. Northern plains will receive patchy rains only.

The cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and its neighbouring areas persists. The low pressure area over West-central Bay of Bengal off Odisha and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh is expected to move inland within 24 hours.

And, the Monsoon trough has shifted far south of its normal position. It is passing through Sri Ganganagar, Jaipur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Raipur and the low pressure area.

We can expect very heavy showers in this part of the country. Monsoon will remain vigorous over southern parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Scattered rains likely over rest of Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.

Another cyclonic circulation can be seen over Saurashtra and Kutch. Therefore, good rains likely over this area.

The feeble off shore trough will extend from Konkan & Goa up to Kerala. The West Coast will receive scattered rains.

Northeast India will continue to receive scattered light to moderate showers.

Rest of the country witnessing normal Monsoon conditions, barring West Rajasthan, where weather is almost dry.
