The Monsoon trough is running closer to the foothills of Himalayas up to Bay of Bengal. Places lying along the trough will receive only scattered rainfall. The trough will shift southwards by Friday and bring some rain over Delhi-NCR. Heavy showers are expected over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.

We can see a cyclonic circulation over Bihar and adjoining east Uttar Pradesh. Consequently, good Monsoon showers likely over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.

The trough extending from this circulation will also bring good spell of rain over Odisha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu.

Monsoon activity will gain strength along the West Coast on account of the active off-shore trough. Good rainfall activity is expected right from Kerala up to Konkan & Goa on Thursday.

Moving onto temperatures now. Maximums will settle in higher thirties in the plains including Delhi. In wake of good showers, temperatures will come down to lower thirties in East India and mid-thirties in Peninsular India.
