Southwest Monsoon has arrived over rest of Goa, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, and South Odisha.
In the last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous over Coastal Karnataka, North Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, active Monsoon conditions were observed over remaining parts of Kerala and Goa while Monsoon remained normal over Lakshadweep and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Major rainfall contribution came from Mangaluru where 158 mm of rains were witnessed followed by Honavar at 147 mm, and Kannur at 116 mm.
During the last 24 hours, country saw 9 percent surplus rains with which the seasonal pan India rainfall stands deficient by 7 percent. Regionally, South and Central are rain surplus presently by 33 and 17 percent respectively. Meanwhile, rainfall deficiency persists over North India and East and Northeast India by 15 and 46 percent respectively.
Talking about Monsoon’s progress, the Northern Limit of Monsoon is now passing through Ratnagiri, Solapur, Nanded, Adilabad, Bailadila, Malkangiri, Kalingapatnam, Agartala, Lumding and North Lakhimpur.
Monsoon is expected to reach more parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, rest of Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 24 hours.

During the next 24 hours, Monsoon will remain active to vigorous over coastal Maharashtra including Mumbai and North Coastal Karnataka. Monsoon will be active over rest of Karnataka, and entire Kerala. Normal Monsoon conditions are expected over Lakshadweep, and Northeast India. Subdued conditions will be witnessed over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
