During the last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon was active over Kerala, Interior Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal, parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.
Whereas Normal Monsoon conditions were witnessed over Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and remaining northeastern states.
Major rain contribution came from Agartala that recorded 125 mm of rainfall, followed by Coonoor at 115 mm and Karipur 58 mm.
As on September 10, the cumulative countrywide rainfall is deficient by 6%. As far as the regional distribution is concerned, East & Northeast region has received normal rains, while Northwest, Central and South India are still rain deficient by 7%, 9% and 2%, respectively.
At present, the axis of Monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of Himalayas.

During the next 24 hours, Active Monsoon conditions are likely over parts of Interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, north interior and coastal parts of Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Marathwada, Vidarbha, South Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, West Assam, parts of Meghalaya and Tripura.

Meanwhile, light to moderate Monsoon rains are possible over South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Odisha, South Gujarat, parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
