People in Northwest, Central and East India will reeling under hot and sultry weather on Thursday. Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan are the hottest pockets of the country. Here’s a look at the weather across the country.

The northern hills have been enjoying good weather for the last one week. But now, back to back Western Disturbances will bring back rainy weather in the hills. A feeble Western Disturbance will start affecting weather from Wednesday itself. Initially the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir will receive rain.

On Thursday, light to moderate rainfall is likely in Jammu and Kashmir, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will receive light rain. Rain will reduce considerably by FridayOn the other hand, northwest plains will go dry now. Mainly northwesterly winds will be blowing over the area. But this region will witness a rising trend in temperatures, in absence of any weather activity.

The cyclonic circulation is now over Jharkhand and adjoining areas. Rain will reduce drastically over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh by tomorrow. The rain belt will shift towards Northeast India, where rainfall activity will gain strength.

The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu received heavy rains of 40 to 70 mm on Tuesday. By Thursday, the easterly wave will bring good pre-monsoon showers over Kerala.
