Weather Forecast April 18: Temperatures to rise in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana, Bengaluru to see rains

April 17, 2019 7:10 PM |

Up in North, a fresh Western Disturbance is over North Jammu and Kashmir and a trough is seen extending from Uttarakhand to Bihar across the foothills. Hence, light scattered rains might be a sight in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Also, isolated activities would be a sight over the foothills of West Uttar Pradesh like Saharanpur and Bahraich.

Coming to the plains, due to clear sky and bright sunshine, day temperatures would increase by two to four degrees across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and North Rajasthan. Also, the easterlies would change their direction and would start blowing from northwest.

In East, due to a trough over north Bihar, we expect isolated pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers over few places of Bihar while scattered showers are likely over Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim and West Bengal. These activities would be also be accompanied with lightning strikes.

Along with this, a Cyclonic Circulation is over eastern parts of Assam. Rains will reduce over northeast India, but scattered rains might continue over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland.
While in Central India, weather of Gujarat, Rajasthan and most parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra would now become dry. Temperatures would rise over these states due to commencement of dry and hot winds from the northwest. But Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha might see isolated pre-Monsoon rain and thundershowers.

Down South, a trough is extending from Bihar to Kerala across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka. Therefore, we expect scattered pre-Monsoon rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu, while isolated activities will be a sight in Telangana and Rayalaseema.
