Starting with South India, where most weather activities are concentrated right now. A Well Marked Low Pressure Area lies over Lakshadweep and adjoining areas. Simultaneously, an upper air trough is extending from Sri Lanka to Tamil Nadu. Under the influence of these systems, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep Islands will be affected by moderate to heavy rains. One or two places in Rayalaseema and Kerala might also receive heavy rains. While, Kerala, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka will receive light to moderate rains. Heavy rains will batter Chennai.
Bengaluru and Hyderabad might receive light rains. Coming on to Central India, where the same systems seems to be affecting southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. A cloudy sky will prevail over these areas with chances of light rain in Chhattisgarh. South Madhya Maharashtra will also experience light rains. Mumbai will remain cloudy with chances of thunderstorm.
Talking about East India, here an upper air Trough is prevailing over Southwest Bay of Bengal. The southern parts of Odisha will receive light rains. Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal will experience shallow fog during morning hours worsening the driving conditions. Also, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Southern parts of Assam. Due to this, Arunachal Pradesh and upper Assam will see light rains and thundershowers at isolated places.
Lastly in North India, where a feeble Western Disturbance is prevailing over Ladakh. Due to this, higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may experience light rains and snow. Temperatures will decrease considerably over Northwest India. Moderate morning fog will prevail in National Capital Delhi. Pollution will remain in ‘moderate’ category.
