To begin with North India, a Western Disturbance lies over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation is over Punjab and adjoining Pakistan. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rain and snow over many places of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh along with isolated pockets of Uttarakhand. Scattered rains are also possible over Punjab, parts of Haryana and North Rajasthan. In fact, few places in Delhi may also receive light rain.
Moving to Central India, a trough is seen running from North Chhattisgarh to Karnataka across Telangana. Due to this, short spell of rain is expected over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and parts of East Madhya Pradesh. Weather of rest of Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and South Rajasthan will remain dry.
In South India, a low-pressure area is persisting over South central Bay of Bengal. Further, this system is likely to move towards Tamil Nadu and intensify. Meanwhile, light rains are possible over Kerala and Karnataka and scattered over Telangana. Weather of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will remain almost dry.
Lastly in east/northeast India, all the state of East India will mainly remain dry with isolated rain over Jharkhand. In fact, due to the cyclonic circulation over East Assam and adjoining areas, isolated light rain is expected over Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Rest all northeastern states will remain dry.
