The Western Disturbance which had been giving rain and snow over hills of North India has moved away. A fresh Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.
However, rain and snow will remain confined to the higher reaches of the hills.
The induced cyclonic circulation is also moving away eastwards. With this, winter will tighten its grip over North Indian hills and plains. Cold wave conditions are expected over the hilly regions. Moreover, minimums will witness a significant drop over the plains and many areas of Punjab, Delhi, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh may see single digit minimums. Delhi Pollution will continue. Not only this, dense fog may also appear in some parts of the plains.
