To begin with South India, due to active easterly wave, we expect scattered light to moderate rains to continue over Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala. Light rain with few moderate spells may also occur over South Andhra Pradesh and isolated pockets of South Telangana and North Interior Karnataka.
Moving to Central India, an anti-cyclone is seen near Vidarbha region. as dry winds are prevailing over Rajasthan, Madhya Prdaesh and Chhattisgarh, we expect dry weather to continue over all these states. However, medium and high clouds may appear over many parts of Madhya Pradesh.
In North India, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir. This may also give isolated light rains over higher reaches of the state. Weather of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain dry. Dry and cold winds from northwest will continue to blow over the plains of Northwest India.
Shallow to moderate fog is expected over Himachal Pradesh, North Punjab and foothills of Uttar Pradesh. Pollution in Delhi is expected to remain in very poor to poor category.
Lastly in east/northeast India, dry winds will continue over the eastern parts of the country. Thus, weather over most parts of East and Northeast India will also remain dry.
