A fresh Western Disturbance will start affecting North Jammu and Kashmir by the night of February 18 leading to isolated light rainfall activities. The weather of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand as well as northern plains will remain dry. The day temperatures may remain above normal here. Delhi pollution will remain between ‘poor and very poor’ category.
In East and Northeast India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over the eastern parts of Assam and adjoining Arunachal Pradesh. A Trough is extending up to North Bay of Bengal. We expect scattered rain and snow in Arunachal Pradesh. Isolated rainfall activities are likely in Assam and Sikkim. Rest Northeast India as well as East India will remain dry only. The day temperatures are expected to increase marginally in East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

In Central India, an Anti Cyclone is over West Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, we do not expect any weather activity over the central parts of the country. The day temperature of Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa will remain above normal .Meanwhile, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will experience clear skies with day temperature reaching mid 30s. Mumbai may see a rise in maximum temperature which may settle around 37 degrees.
South India will witness dry and warm weather conditions. Most of the places particularly, Karnataka and Kerala as well as Rayalaseema may see day temperature in mid 30s to higher 30s. Sky will remain clear. Humid winds from the Bay of Bengal will continue in Coastal Tamil Nadu. The temperature of Coastal Tamil Nadu as well as Coastal Andhra Pradesh will be in lower 30s. The cities of Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad may remain dry only.
