Weather Forecast for Feb 24: Rain in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, snow in Kashmir, Himachal

A Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation prevails over Punjab and Haryana. In fact, a trough is also extending up to West Uttar Pradesh. In wake of these combined weather systems, moderate to heavy rain and snow are likely over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand will also observe light to moderate weather activity.

Moreover, rain and thundershowers along with hailstorm is expected in many parts of Punjab, Haryana and scattered areas of West Uttar Pradesh. Isolated rain and hailstorm may also occur over North Rajasthan. Due to these rains, the day temperatures will fall over entire North and Northwest India.

Talking about the weather of New Delhi, the city may witness partly cloudy to cloudy sky with the possibility of rain.

Moving to East and Northeast India, a feeble trough is extending from Sikkim to South Bangladesh. Due to the weather system, isolated rain is likely over Sikkim and West Assam. In fact, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected over East Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, weather over Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha will remain dry and warm.

In fact, the city of joy Kolkata is also expected to witness a warm day with haze in the morning.

In Central India, most parts will observe warm weather. Meanwhile, isolated rain may occur over Madhya Pradesh and thunderstorm will be witnessed over Madhya Maharashtra. Along with this, the sky will become partly cloudy over parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and North Madhya Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Mumbai may have a warm and sunny day.

In South India, a cyclonic circulation persists over Southeast Bay of Bengal and a trough is extending up to South of Sri Lanka. In wake of this weather system, scattered rain and thundershower activity will continue over South Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, entire southern peninsula will remain dry.
