Weather Forecast for Jan 19: Rain in Andaman, Dry weather in TN, Kerala, Karnataka

To start with the weather of North, A feeble Western Disturbance is prevailing over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. As this system is weak in nature, not much weather activity is anticipated over the North Indian Hills. Only isolated rain is possible over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, dry northwesterly winds will again resume over Northwest India. In the wake of this, intensity of fog is expected to reduce over Delhi, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, minimum temperatures are likely to drop across the entire northwest region.

Moving to Central India, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh have already recorded drop in minimum temperatures during the past 24 hours. Now, we expect both day and night temperatures to fall further over several pockets of Central India including Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.

Talking about East and Northeast India, the weather would remain dry. Humid easterly winds are prevailing over Bihar and parts of East Uttar Pradesh. So, dense to very dense fog will persist over the mentioned regions. Also, cold day conditions will prevail over many places of Bihar and in pockets of Northeast Uttar Pradesh.

Moderate to dense fog is also expected over northern parts of West Bengal, followed by West Assam and Tripura.

Lastly in South, a cyclonic circulation is persisting over South Andaman Sea. With this, scattered light to moderate rains will continue to affect Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Meanwhile, the weather would remain dry over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
