Weather Forecast for July 23: Rain in Lucknow, Kolkata, Gujarat, Rajasthan

To begin with North India, a Western Disturbance is seen over central parts of Jammu and Kashmir. As a result, parts of the state will receive light rains. The states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will continue to record scattered rains. Few moderate spells also cannot be ruled out. Meanwhile, isolated rains may occur over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

A low pressure area is seen over Central Rajasthan. In wake of this, moderate to heavy rains are likely over North Gujarat as well as eastern and southern parts of Rajasthan.

The axis of monsoon trough passes through Gujarat, Center of low, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and towards Northeast Bay of Bengal. Along with this, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar. Hence, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal may get moderate rains with a few heavy showers. Whereas the rain activity is expected to decrease over East Madhya Pradesh, south of Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

Northeastern states may observe moderate rains with a few heavy spells.

Down South, the off shore trough extends from North Maharashtra to North Kerala. This system is likely to weaken. Thus, the rain activity will reduce along the coast. However, light to moderate rains will continue over Konkan and Goa including Mumbai.

Subdued rains are also possible over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, North Karnataka, Vidarbha and South Madhya Maharashtra.
