Weather Forecast for June 9: Monsoon in Mumbai soon, Rain in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala

Moving ahead, Southwest Monsoon has now entered Maharashtra and is likely to reach Mumbai anytime soon.

Mumbai has been recording heavy rains and we expect heavy to very heavy showers to continue over the city and Konkan and Goa. Meanwhile, light to moderate showers with one or two heavy places are also expected over Coastal and North Interior Karnataka.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are likely over Kerala, while Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will witness subdued showers. Telangana may also see some spells.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are likely over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and many places of Maharashtra. All thanks to the trough that is extending from South Uttar Pradesh up to South Konkan.

Up in East & Northeast, in the wake of ample moisture infusion from Bay of Bengal, good rain and thundershowers are expected to continue over most parts of northeastern states inclusive of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Light to moderate showers may also occur over Jharkhand, Odisha and parts of Bihar and West Bengal. East Uttar Pradesh may witness dust storm or thundershowers.

Meanwhile in North India, another trough is running from Northwest Rajasthan up to Bangladesh. Thus, dust storm and thundershowers are likely over scattered places of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand and parts of Himachal Pradesh might also see rain and thundershowers.
