Weather Forecast for Mar 7: Rains ahead for Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru

Beginning with North India, where a Western Disturbance is over eastern parts of Ladakh. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Haryana. A Trough from this system is extending up to Bangladesh across East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. So, we expect rains and snow to start reducing from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and western parts of Himachal Pradesh, but will continue with good intensity over Uttrakhand. Similarly, rains will continue over Punjab and Haryana, North Rajasthan and parts of Delhi. Rains will now pick up over West Uttar Pradesh.

Talking about East India, where rains are possible over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Strong winds, lightning strikes and hailstorm activities are likely in these states. Northern parts of Odisha may also get light to moderate rains. On and off rain and thundershowers are likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Tripura. Rains are likely over Kolkata as well.

Moving to South India, where a North-South Trough is extending from Bihar to Tamil Nadu. Scattered light to moderate rains will continue over Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Rains will now reduce over Kerala and Karnataka. Lakshadweep Islands may also get light to moderate rains. Rains ahead for Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Chennai will remain dry.

Lastly in Central India, where a few spells of rains are possible over Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha. Isolated rains are possible over East Madhya Pradesh. Weather of West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and most parts of Maharashtra will remain dry. Mumbai will also remain dry.
