Weather Forecast for March 30: Heatwave to persist in Rajasthan, Gujarat, MP, Maharashtra

To start with North India, the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is moving eastwards. But, light rain will continue over isolated parts of the state along with Himachal Pradesh.

Hot winds are blowing over the northwestern plains including Delhi-NCR that will keep the weather dry. These hot winds are also reaching up to Central India. Henceforth heatwave conditions will maintain its grip over Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

Moving onto East and Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. Besides this, moisture feed will be available in the form of strong winds from the Bay of Bengal. Therefore, good rain and thunderstorms are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and northeastern states. Rest of East India will continue to witness dry weather.

Down South, a trough is extending from South Chhattisgarh up to Kerala, which will give isolated light rain over Kerala. But, rest of South India will continue with warm and dry weather.

Delhi will witness maximum temperature of 38 degrees, while Lucknow will see quite hot afternoon with a high of 40 degrees. Kolkata, on the other hand will record maximum temperature of 35 degrees.

Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, both will have hot afternoons with maximum temperatures around 42 degrees, while Mumbai and Chennai will settle with 35 degrees.
