Weather Forecast for March 31: No relief from heatwave in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, MP

India is reeling under the grip of heatwave conditions, especially central parts of the country. Temperatures across Gujarat, Vidarbha region and West Rajasthan are also touching 44-degree mark.

Moreover, weathermen do not predict any relief in the coming days and that the countrymen must gear for worst conditions which are yet to come.

In fact, northern plains such as Delhi-NCR, Haryana are also witnessing significantly above normal temperatures.

Let us now have a look at the weather systems across the country. A fresh Western Disturbance is seen approaching Jammu and Kashmir which is presently seen over North Pakistan.

Though system may give some rains over higher reaches of Kashmir region but lower regions of rest of the hilly region will remain dry. Similarly, it will also not have any impact over the northwestern plains and dry and hot winds will continue over the region.

Meanwhile in East India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over North West Bengal and a trough is running from this up to Odisha. With this we can expect isolated showers of West Bengal, North Bihar and North coastal Odisha.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Assam, which will give heavy to extremely showers over Meghalaya and Assam. While rest of the states will continue with light to moderate rains.

Down south, a cyclonic circulation is marked over North Karnataka but it will not have impact over the region. Meanwhile, one more circulation is seen over Southeast Sri Lanka and a trough is running from this system up to South Kerala. With this, we can expect some light rains over southern parts of both Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
