Weather Forecast for March 6: Light rain in Bangalore, Chennai; Cool nights for Delhi

A cyclonic circulation is seen over Southeast Arabian Sea. The trough over the coast of South Tamil Nadu continues to persist. With the combined effect of these two systems, scattered light to moderate rains is likely over several parts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Kerala and isolated parts of South Interior Karnataka.

Bangalore is expected to see rain and thundershowers at one or two places which may be a hindrance to the third day of the ongoing test match between India and Australia.

Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation is marked over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. This system will give scattered rain and thundershowers over parts of Telangana and Vidarbha.

Moving to eastern parts of the country, Gangetic West Bengal including Kolkata and Coastal Odisha may see some light rains. Scattered rains will continue over Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Up in North India, dry and cold northwesterly winds will continue to prevail over entire region. Delhi NCR will witness cool and comfortable nights with warm and sunny days. No major change in temperatures is expected over northwestern plains.
