Weather Forecast for May 21: Rain in Delhi, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh; heatwave in Vidarbha, Telangana

A Western disturbance is over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. This system is expected to give light to moderate rains with squally winds at scattered places over Western Himalayas. Its induced cyclonic circulation is marked over North Rajasthan. With this, dust storm, thunderstorm and thundershower with squally winds will continue over North Western parts of the country will continue. Delhi may also witness some weather activity.

Coming to Central India, heatwave conditions will continue in pockets of Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana.

A cyclonic circulation lies over East Bihar and adjoining areas. Along with this, a trough is running from this system across Jharkhand and Odisha. With this, scattered light to moderate rain will continue over Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and North Eastern states with isolated rain over East Bihar, Jharkhand, Coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

A feeble cyclonic circulation is over South Andhra Pradesh. A trough is extending from this system up to Comorin region across Tamil Nadu. Thus, light rain will also continue over parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka.

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rainfall may also occur at few places over Andaman and Nicobar islands.
