Skymet Weather has collaborated with (UCAR) to enhance weather accuracy across the country. The $1 million partnership will now result in more detailed tropical weather patterns, including Monsoon, with precision and high accuracy.

Now, coming back to weather of the country, the Western Disturbance continues to prevail over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir that would give isolated light rain over Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, weather of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain dry with partly cloudy sky.

Although a trough is running from Rajasthan to Bangladesh, however due to lack of moisture, the weather in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh would be dry and hot. Heatwave might also grip few parts of northwestern plains.

Moving to the weather in East and Northeast India we expect weather to remain dry and hot over East Uttar Pradesh, most parts of Bihar and Jharkhand. Scattered rain and thundershowers are also expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and isolated pockets of East Bihar, East Jharkhand and North Odisha.

However, due to presence of this trough along with moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal, the rain intensity is expected to increase over the northeastern states and we can expect some moderate showers over the region.

Further in Central India a trough is extending from Central Uttar Pradesh to Interior Karnataka across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Thus, we expect isolated thunderstorm and thundershower activities over parts of Chhattisgarh, Southeast Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra. But we do not see any respite from the ongoing heatwave that will continue to prevail over Vidarbha, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Not only this, we expect good rains to continue over Karnataka. Meanwhile, Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu are also likely to witness scattered rains. In fact, isolated activities cannot be ruled out over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
