November 1, 2016 5:50 PM |

The Northeast Monsoon has been active over Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Andaman and Nicobar Islands have also been receiving good showers. The low pressure area over Andaman Sea could enhance rainfall activities over the region. While travelling northwestwards the system could intensify into a depression.

The cyclonic circulation over Peninsular India will shift towards southern parts of Kerala. Scattered light to moderate rains will continue over Kerala, Tamil Nadu. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and South Karnataka will observe decrease in rainfall activities. Mainly light rains will be observed over these regions.

Moisture laden winds coming from the Bay of Bengal will usher in rains at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and South West Bengal.

The Western Disturbance over North Jammu and Kashmir has moved away. Dry weather conditions will prevail over the Western Himalayas. Further drop in minimum temperatures likely over North India.

Dry and cool winds from north will continue to blow over northern and central parts of the country. Nevertheless, people in Delhi, East India and Madhya Pradesh will witness smog and haze during the morning hours. The smoggy situation will improve very soon as a fresh Western Disturbance is expected on November 4.
