Weather Forecast for Nov 20: Minimums to drop in Delhi, Northwest India; Rain in TN, Odisha

A feeble cyclonic circulation is persisting over Odisha. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. With this, light rain may continue over parts of Odisha.

A weak anti cyclone is also seen over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Gangetic West Bengal Coast. This system is inducing moisture over North Odisha Coast, so shallow to moderate fog may occur during the early morning hours over the region.

Meanwhile, dry weather will continue over northeast and remaining eastern parts of the country. Shallow fog and mist in pockets cannot be ruled out during the early morning hours.

In South India, a feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over Southeast Arabian Sea off Kerala Coast and a trough is extending from this up to North Karnataka Coast. Due to this, light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Kerala, coastal and north interior parts of Karnataka. Andhra Pradesh may witness light rains.

There is a weak trough that persists over Southwest Bay of Bengal off Sri Lanka and South Tamil Nadu Coast. Hence light rain is expected with few moderate spells over interior and southern parts of Tamil Nadu.

Coming up North, a Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. This system would give light to moderate rain and snow over parts of East Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and higher reaches of Uttarakhand.

Meanwhile, dry weather conditions with significant drop in night temperatures is anticipated over northwestern plains including Delhi NCR as the winds are dry and cold in nature. Shallow fog and mist can be seen in pockets during the early morning hours.

In Central India, here too, in wake of cold and dry winds prevailing over the region; both day and night temperatures will fall significantly.
